At least an Ice Bow (Eminence even better). Str Long Bows/Akat Bows are not recommended due to their extremely slow shooting speed. b. A decent set of armor, Theca is recommended but enchanted Manticore will do in a pinch. If you get theca, make sure to get the boots too for a +75 p.def boost. c. As many soulshots as you can carry. Stack up your inventory with around 800 arrows, and as many c-ss you can carry, and a few scroll of escapes for the needed restocks in Dion. Now, head into Cruma Tower, and make your way up to level 2. Once you hit level 2 in Cruma head down the ramp and make an immediate right, then into the first room. Be extremely careful, as there are aggro Torfes here! If they catch you off guard you could be in trouble. The room is usually camped on most servers, so you shouldn't have much trouble, if it is camped, just make your way through the room carefully. Once through the first room you'll come to a huge huge rectangular shaped room (again watching out for a lone Torfe), and skirt your way around the room TO THE LEFT until you come to a long empty bridge. This is your camping spot of choice. This bridge has ZERO spawns, and is a great place to kite level 48-52 mobs from the large rectangular room you navigated through. **HINT: A single Torfe spawns right by the entrance to the bridge. Be extra careful when running into the large room from the bridge, as a Torfe may be lurking!** These are the mobs to target: a. Diors b. Death Knights These are the mobs to ignore: a. Torfes (too fast in C1, can be soloed but you will be hit a bit too much) b. Golems (close to impervious to arrows like most golems) Both DKs and Diors can be easily outrun/kited by a Silver Ranger/Phantom Ranger. Both of these mobs give you between 4000-5000 xp per kill. I leveled a Silver Ranger here mostly SOLO, from level 40-50 EXTREMELY quickly. Nowhere else in the entire realm can compare to this spot. The XP is amazing, but pulling this off does require a bit of skill and trepidation in avoiding the torfes. Torfes can be killed as well solo, but they have sped up a bit since prelude. If you do get a torfe on you, it will require a lot more kiting distance than Diors or Death Knights. **HINT: Between Level 40-42 you may miss death knights quite a bit, throw on your "Accuracy" skill and this tendency will disappear. You will require more rest to regen MP, but avoiding death is much more useful than saving MP!** This strategy is best used when spamming soulshots. I realize this costs money, but with the high amount of adena dropped by mobs¡..you don't lose a TON of money. You will be in the negative, but I for one am not opposed to "paying" for leveling in this stage of the game. Once you are level 50 you won't have much issue pulling in 100-200k adena per hour in drops solo in places like the cemetary. Who says Cruma isn't for solo artists? It's GREAT for solo archers! Avoid buying items from NPC merchants when and if possible. Player crafters in the game usually always charge less than the average NPC. Do not always sell off everything you loot to a NPC, there are many crafters that are looking for what you may have. Your junk may be a treasure to them. Players usually always buy at rates higher than what the NPC has to offer. You may also want to setup your own store and sell off the items there. Tracking Down WoW Vanity Items?
04.03.09 (2:30 am) [edit]Well, have you heard about wow vanity items? If yes, what type would you track down? Ok, I know it's a silly RPer thing, but I try to pay some attention to how my characters look in game. For example, I still haven't gotten the Shave and a Haircut achievement on my Death Knight because I think he looks pretty cool and very much like he should as a character and I'm having a hard time changing it, even for an achievement. Another thing I do as a result of this is do varied and esoteric quests to get gear that MIGHT look good on me conceivably. Some day. Possibly. My Hunter has a full set of black leather armor in case she ever has to, I don't know, join an RP night stealth strike force, I suppose, and a torch in case she needs to lead an angry mob or something. It's a little obsession. Still, there's a few wow vanity items I'm still trying to track down. For example, I'm still trying to find a pair of solid blue jeans. Rancher's Trousers come first, but they're shorts and whatnot. Of course, what I really want, I am pretty sure doesn't exist: An item that will turn my Death Knight's Ghoul into a Geist. It doesn't need to grant it any special abilities, Geists just look cool as hell, and definitely much more worthy of serving a Death Knight than the somewhat dull-witted nearly-rotted-to-nothing Ghoul. Uh, no offense, Wormslobber. So my question for the day is this: Do you have a wow vanity item that you consider integral to one or more of your characters? Have you kept old drops and quest items tucked away for a rainy day just in case you need to look really good and/or weird? And what type of wow vanity items are you still trying to track down or would love to see implemented? Ok, what about your answer? WoW Death Knight Manga Would be Released December 2009
04.03.09 (2:30 am) [edit]WoW Death Knight Manga Would be Released December 2009~~ Via Blizzplanet, we have news of yet another Warcraft graphic novel coming to us from Tokyopop in December 2009. This time, the story will focus on Thassarian, a Human Death Knight NPC in World of Warcraft. If you've played a Death Knight or an Alliance character in Northrend, chances are you know of Thassarian. He first shows up in game as a thrall of the Lich King, but even as he assists in the slaughter of the Scarlet Crusade, he shows a noble spirit that even the Lich King's control can't completely suppress. He shows up again in the Borean Tundra, where his quest line uncovers both some insight behind his new existence and his past and involves epic battles against the Scourge to prevent them from completing a plan to completely dismantle the Alliance offensive. Not only is said quest line one of the few Alliance quests in the Tundra that is actually not boring, but it also provides some of the best early quest rewards for a new level 70. Finally, he shows up again in Icecrown, assisting the Alliance in sabotaging the Scourge. The storyline of the WoW Death Knight Manga is unknown, and with December 2009 as a target release date, I have to wonder if we'll get an Icecrown-centric storyline, since we may very well be on patch 3.3 or 3.4 by then. Of course, we may also get the story of Thassarian's downfall and resurrection, which in itself could be pretty juicy, as we'll get more insight into the origin of PC Death Knights and maybe even the political and military state of the Alliance before the return of King Wrynn.
