A lot of times you may only be a few points below what is needed to gather that resource, this way you may get a skill up close by and quickly come back to the area and gather it.
2. Selling Materials.

The design I enjoyed most out of the packet was the Nike Hyperdunk Z Shoes featured at the top of the post. Cirq says that he could customize these sneakers in a size 9 for about $120. A committed sneaker artist, Cirq can complete these designs in the matter of a few class periods. While the design suffers from a lack of color, the sketch shows that Cirq has a good eye for detail.
The remaining sketches are featured below with most ranging from $85 to $100 per pair in a size 8.5 or 9. Nike has made provisions for the pair of corresponding Terminator Hi and Terminator Lo in white and blue colors. The Lo has a blue toe box with perforations. The shoe lace is orange and blue. The midsection has a black and blue plaid. The Nike swoosh is white. The corresponding terminator Hi has a grey colored swoosh. The shoe lace is orange and grey. The toe box is in blue and white plaid. This plaid pattern is repeated at the heel. The Terminator Hi attempts to contrast by having a white midsection.
There is one Terminator Hi using plaid for its toe box and heel. The midsection is a tone of brown. One common characteristic in this Terminator Spring 2009 Shoes collection is that the midsoles are white.

JBF used hot pink as the base color and added a subtle yellow hue to the Nike swoosh for a colorful contrast. In an effort to match the silver ribbon to the rest of these sneakers, the designer added thin gray ribbons on the middle panel. JBF wanted to note that the silver ribbon can be removed easily, recognizing that this design element has polarized those who have viewed these customs.
The Ribbons Dunk Lows show that JBF is capable of great work even if he is asked to include something that he does not enjoy. If you start your examination of the Kaboom Dunks Shoes from the heel, you may not think much of these customs. With the exception of a pair of pink pupils emerging from the black panel, JBF left the back half of the Kaboom! Dunks clean. The designer focused his attention on the eyelets and toes, setting off some artistic explosions around the white toe box. 
JBF used jagged black lines to create the shock waves surrounding pink/white flash points. Instead of setting off a few simple explosions, JBF overlapped the shock waves to simulate all-out war. The designer’s use of subtle colors like black, gray and white allowed the pink flash points stand out. The Kaboom Nike Dunks Shoes demonstrate JBF’s ability to make sophisticated sneakers without resorting to wild colors and crazy graphics.

A client requested a Chainsaw Massacre custom of his own, leading the designer to take up this theme once again. The Chainsaw Massacre Nike Vandals 2.0 were featured on Sweatshop Clothing’s Nike Talk post linked airnk.com.
The toe and toe box are painted black/red to symbolize the blood splatters in Leatherface’s workshop of horrors. Sweatshop Clothing painted the heel tag red with a black Nike swoosh to stand apart from the flesh-colored paint used on the heel. The middle panel and heel feature flesh-colored swatches unified by red stitching to simulate Leatherface’s mangled visage.
My favorite part of the Chainsaw Massacre Nike Vandals 2.0 Shoes is the chainsaw design of the Nike swoosh. Sweatshop painted the Nike swoosh metallic silver to simulate the body of a chainsaw. The chain is created using silver and black paint around the swoosh’s edge, producing the appearance of motion as your eye moves from toe to heel. I think Sweatshop Clothing did a great job building off the first version of his Chainsaw Massacre Nike Vandals.

While Emmanuelabor is known for his hot Nike customs, he decided to go with a different sneaker to honor Kanye West’s album. The 808s & Heartbreak Shoes Chuck Taylors mix simple design with a novel approach to inserting the single red heart on the album cover.
The designer’s primary pattern for these Chucks came from the suit worn by Kanye West when supporting the album. You can see in the photo at the bottom of this post that the suit has a simple gray pattern with a broken heart on the lapel. Emmanuelabor did a great job stitching and forming this pattern to the Heartbreakf Chuck Taylors.
Emmanuelabor did not use fabric or paint to create the red heart on the inside of both shoes. The designer cut and stitched red balloons into a heart-shaped space in the fabric to create the right texture. The toe box is white. The surrounding mudguard is grey and it extends to form part of the Nike Air Pegasus 89 shoe lace panelling. The first underlying layer of the lace panel is black in color. The shoe lace is bright pink. The inner lining of the shoe is the same color. The double effect of a coordinated lace and lining is good. The label at the tip of the tongue said Nike in black letters. It adheres to the color scheme of black and pink. The midsection of the Nike Air Pegasus 89 shoes has an extremely large Nike swoosh. It covers a great deal of the white midsection. The midsole is white and makes a good contrast with the pink outsole. There is a special emphasis on the toe with an extra peach colored pad.

The toe box and tongue form a continuous piece. There is a small blue Air Jordan logo at the start of the shoe lace region. The tip of the tongue finished with a CP, for Chris Paul. The side panel, or midsection, is white. There are criss crossing lines of stitching to provide a subtle pattern. It is quiet but still outstanding. Sneaker Vixen started by laying down lilac and purple leopard spots set against a black backdrop. On the inside heel of both shoes, we see cartoons of Jessica that match the joviality and style of the client. The Jessica Leopard Converse All Stars may not seem as sophisticated as some of the designer’s past work but it went above and beyond what Jessica wanted from the shoe.
My favorite part of the Jessica Leopard All Stars Shoes is the custom laces that you can see in the overhead shot above. The zebra-print laces match the pattern on the heel. Sneaker Vixen is known not only for creating hot shoes but also customizing accessories like laces to match any design. While I may not have asked for leopard print on my Jessica Leopard Shoes, Sneaker Vixen did the best thing a sneaker artist can do: create well-crafted customs that please the client.
